Often, the court requests letters from the facility that the client is attending for proof of enrollment as well as progress updates. The letter includes information such as when the client entered the facility, how well the client is abiding by the current structure of the program. The court also wants to know the results of drug and alcohol testing. Because a client has been offered a recovery program in lieu of jail time, the court wants to verify that they are meeting the requirements of the program. If the client does not meet the requirements of the program, they are at risk of having to fulfill their jail sentence requirement. Orange County Recovery helps in this process by providing accurate and current information to the court so the court is confident that it made the right decision in allowing the client to seek treatment. More than one letter may be necessary as the client may need to appear in court on more than one occasion. As long as the client is in the Alternative Sentencing Program, court letters are provided at no extra cost to the client.
